Inpatient and Outpatient Programs

Our inpatient addiction recovery program, also called residential treatment, is a where you live in the facility for 30 days while participating in therapy, the 12-Step Program, and in some cases, medication assisted treatment (MAT). It is designed to help you start your recovery by moving you away from the things that trigger your addiction and helping you build the skills you need to stay sober. Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is designed for anyone who has completed a first-step program (like our residential treatment program) and is ready to continue their recovery in a less structured environment.

Intensive outpatient programs are often used as the second step in the recovery process. Once you have the skills to manage your sobriety without our supervision, you can return home and join our outpatient program. You still come into the facility for treatment on a regular basis, but you don’t have to live in the facility.

The Outpatient Program includes many of the same treatment options as the Residential Program. The difference is that those treatments are less frequent, and you may participate in fewer treatment options overall based on your needs.

● Life Skills Training

Our IOP meets three days per week, and the program lasts 4-12 weeks based on each participant’s needs. The goal of the program is to help you integrate back into your life with the coping skills needed to stay healthy and sober. For convenience, we offer day and evening sessions. That way, you can tend to your other obligations and still attend treatment sessions.

At Serenity Treatment Center, we encourage everyone to start their recovery no matter which program they need to start with. If you are unable to attend the Residential Program, which has a 30-day commitment to live in the facility, then starting in the IOP is still a good first step. The goal is to get you the help you need, however we can get it for you.

However, we do recommend that if it is at all possible to start in the Residential Program, then that is the option that you should choose. The Residential Program is a more intensive option that sets you up for long-term success. It is foundational to your recovery and should be your starting point if you can.
