Serenity Treatment Center of Louisiana’s Mid-City campus opened its doors this year to meet the increased demand for services.
It’s located across the street from Baton Rouge Community College. It is a 48-bed facility on a beautiful three-acre property.
Our staff consists of an interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, clinicians, counselors, and a large operational team.
The Mid-City campus offers detox services. Detox, or detoxification, is the physical process where addictive toxins leave your body, but it doesn’t happen overnight.
Before participating in residential treatment, clients can spend three to five days in our medically managed detox program first.
The length of the detox will depend on the addictive substance used that will need to be “cleansed” from your body. Detoxification allows for the effectiveness of the next stages of our rehabilitation process.
Our Residential Inpatient Program involves individual counseling, group therapy, medication assisted treatment (when appropriate), meals, and a full day’s worth of programming.
After completing the residential program, it is highly recommended that clients live in a sober living or transitional living home while participating in our Intensive Outpatient Program.
Our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program includes educating clients on the various aspects of addiction, thus identifying psychosocial stressors that lead to substance abuse. It can be completed on its own or after completing our inpatient program. Treatment takes place over three-hour sessions, three days a week, for eight weeks.
Intensive outpatient is optional. But it is strongly recommended that to obtain the best results, you start with detox, then the residential program, and complete the IOP. Altogether is about a 90-day program.
