Shayla Edwards is a passionate and dedicated mental health professional with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Louisiana State University (2026). She is a Licensed Addictions Counselor and provisionally licensed professional counselor.

With a personal recovery journey that began on March 16, 2012, Shayla brings both lived experience and clinical expertise to her work. Since 2015, she has served individuals in recovery through various roles, including behavioral health technician, utilization review coordinator, substance abuse counselor, and recreational therapist. This diverse background has given her a comprehensive understanding of the treatment process and a deep respect for the strength and resilience of those navigating recovery.

Shayla’s approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and a deep understanding of the recovery process. She is committed to helping individuals build practical coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and reconnect with a sense of purpose. Drawing from both clinical training and personal experience, Shayla creates a supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their journey toward lasting recovery.
